During a gap year before my final year of Computer Science I worked as a control room operator in the alarm receiving centre (ARC) dealing with escalating alarms to relevant keyholders and often having to escalate dire situations to emergency services.
Interface LTD – Production Operative
I worked in a carpet factory, carrying out manual labour tasks during the summer. I actively participated in the production process, contributing to the efficient operation of the factory.
Responsibilities included performing various manual tasks such as operating machinery, packaging finished products, and ensuring a clean and organised work area. I consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. My dedication and contributions helped meet production targets and maintain quality standards.
Avondale Foods - Despatch Operative
Coleslaw & other foods factory, I was responsible for arranging and organising deliveries, as well as loading lorries. Through manual labour and careful coordination, I ensured that products were prepared and dispatched according to schedule. I developed strong organisational and logistical skills. My contributions played a crucial part in facilitating smooth deliveries and meeting customer demands during the summer season.
