Having worked as a floor fitter for the past 12 years, working for myself and contracting for big companies, I have gained much needed experience with a variety of flooring such as carpet, vinyl, LVT, hard flooring, laminate and wood. After working on my own and as part of a team, I have come to realise that gaining and maintaining strong relationships with co-workers, suppliers and customers is key to getting the job done to the highest standard. My primary role of a maintenance Operative was to optimise property condition and quality and to ensure the building is kept in a safe working condition. My responsibilities in the role of maintenance operative was to do minor work repairs on the building including light electrical, plumbing, decorating and flooring as well as other repair works. Providing first and immediate response to fault finding whilst maximising quality and ensuring cost effectiveness

• Ensuring prevention of major damage that could result in extensive costs and minimise reactive intervention
• Perform minor repairs
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues

• Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting rubbish etc.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs

• Participate in different projects (e.g. renovations)

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
