Key Responsibilities

Sourcing and Procurement - Identify and source suppliers for goods and services.
Research potential suppliers, obtain quotes and evaluate quotes to select the best options in terms of quality, cost and delivery.
Negotiating favourable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, quantity discounts and delivery schedules.
Ensuring the best value for the organisation while maintaining good supplier relationships.
Generate purchase orders that detail the specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Supplier relationship management – Maintain strong relationships with suppliers through effective communication, regular follow-ups and addressing any issues that arise. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve disputes and ensure timely delivery.
Inventory Management – Collaborate with other departments to monitor stock levels, anticipate demand and ensure the availability of products without overstocking or stockouts.
Quality Control – Collaborate with quality control to ensure that purchased goods meet the required quality standard and specifications. Address any quality issues with suppliers and coordinate returns or replacements as required.
Cost Analysis and Budgeting.
Attending weekly Production meeting with leaders from all departments.
Office Administrator – Initially employed to provide support to the Purchase Team.
General admin for team including making enquiries to suppliers and entering orders.
Answering incoming calls from suppliers.
