Jackie Whitmore

I have worked in the hospitality/cleaning industry for over 20 years which I have really enjoyed and I have gained a vast amount of experience. I have worked part of a team in which I have gained team working skills and I have also worked independently when I have needed to. I have brilliant communication skills which enable me to work part of a team.

I have also presented leadership skills when I have had to take on the position of stand in supervisor. I can work well under pressure especially if I have a time limit to complete a task. I always have a positive attitude to any tasks given.

Facilities Support / Team Leader - University of East Anglia - Broadview Lodge

(2008-07)

I started at the University of East Anglia in July 2008, where I started cleaning in the student accommodation (residences). I really enjoyed this and I worked as part of a good team in that department. In 2015 I moved up to Broadview Lodge when the good opportunity arose and this is where I am now at present as a Team Leader. I have been trained to use certain cleaning chemicals under COSHH on how to use and store them in the correct areas.

Cleaner - Hawthorns Care Home

(2004-01 - 2006-12)

I worked here for 2 years as a cleaner. My responsibilities were to ensure the building and the service users rooms, showers and day rooms were clean to a high standard. I gained good relationships with both staff and service users.

Cleaner - Hellesdon High School

(2000-01 - 2001-12)

I worked at Hellesdon High school as a cleaner. I had to ensure the class rooms were cleaned to a high standard for the pupils and staff.

Cleaner / Catering Assistant - Norfolk and Norwich Hospital

(1996-01 - 1998-12)

I worked here as a cleaner and a catering assistant to make the teas and coffees for the patients on the wards. I would always have to ensure my cleaning was a high standard due to the setting I was in. I worked well as part of a team and also on my own as I would be sent to a variety of departments in the hospital.

Cleaner - Maids head Hotel

(1995-01 - 1996-12)

I worked here after I left school so I could gain knowledge and understanding of a working environment as I always had an interest in the hospitality industry. I gained the confidence of working by myself and part of a team understanding different areas of the hotel.
