I understand that treating every patient with dignity, respect and empathy.

I am committed to maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control by following hygiene protocols, using personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly, practising effective hand hygiene, and adhering to health and safety policies to protect both patients and colleagues. I have learnt that having a strong understanding of the importance of effective communication, teamwork, and confidentiality within a healthcare setting and recognise the value of working collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible outcomes for patients. I am reliable and able to remain calm under pressure whilst prioritising patient safety.

I have gained experience in assessing patients physical and psychological needs, completing and documenting observations, recognising and escalating signs of deterioration using the appropriate escalation processes, and contributing to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Supporting patients with their daily care needs, promoting comfort and independence and wellbeing, whilst being able to maintain accurate documentation.
