I would also help the general managers by doing extra jobs to take the load of them such as dealing with customer complaints helping set up venues i.e.: decorations and taking stock.

Within my time at Park cakes, my responsibilities included managing a team to help run a line called cut and slab, fixing any issues that the machine occurred during the run, and completing paperwork efficiently and correctly. It taught me time management skills and how to work under pressure and think of solutions to issues quite quickly. I would also help in other departments when needed and covered sickness and holidays.

Within my time at stateside foods, I learnt the importance of meeting targets, I learnt to use my time effectively and play the part as a team member. My job included a range of different activities such as machine operator and covering line leaders. My job included such things as dealing with heavy machinery and keeping it running by fixing and changing the machine and the programs and leading a team. I completed my training as a team leader to cover holidays and sickness.

During this time, I was a cleaner and was trained in a lot of different jobs within this workspace such as washing, cleaning work surfaces, cleaning workspaces, and also using cleaning chemicals correctly. During this time, I was a picker and packer and was trained in a lot of different jobs within this workspace such as picking, packing, putting away, scanning, administrator (returns) and PI (checking and counting stock). During my time working at The Spinning Mule, I was responsible for serving food to a range of different customers, displaying excellent standards of service at all times. This job involved carrying plates to tables and collecting them when the customer had finished eating, cleaning tables when customers had left, collecting empty glasses, helping customers with assistance, toilet checks to make sure they were clean – restocking condiments. In this job, I learned how to manage time and general communication skills.
