I have over ten years working experience as a security officer. I am a trained SIA Door Supervisor, CCTV, Emergency fire crew capability with First Aid and Health & Safety Awareness certificates. I am looking for an opportunity to deliver on the work ethic I gained in challenging and busy environments in various corporate offices, constructions sites, and retail and at social events.

As a Security Officer, will be responsible for maintaining the security requirements of the client whilst maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism through adherence to directions from the security management team.

SECURITY OFFICER - MITIE SECURITY GROUP

• Provide a professional, efficient, and approachable security service with associated switchboard and reception duties, always maintaining a high level of customer service to staff and visitors.
• Carry out internal and external patrols to ensure a safe and secure environment, recording maintenance issues, potential breaches of security or unusual occurrences.
• Ensure that those who should not be granted access behind the security gate are professionally and politely prevented from gaining access or escorted from the building.
• Provide support in an emergency or evacuation situation, in a calm and professional manner. Actively provide information to any emergency services when requested to do so.
• Monitor and respond immediately to alarm system activations to check designated areas of concern.
• Ensure that the building's CCTV system is professionally, effectively and sensitively monitored.
• Conduct individual bag or property searches, if directed to do so by a senior manager.
• Ensure that any lost property left at the corridors is securely stored, recorded and retrieved for the owner where appropriate.
• Maintain all security related equipment and working areas to a high standard of cleanliness and safety and ensure all defects are reported.
• Working with the Security and Reception Supervisor, carry out the evacuation of people from lifts, to minimize panic and ensure the safety of all concerned.
• Deal with any suspicious packages, maintaining own and others safety.
• Actively maintain the confidentiality of information to which Officers will be privy, be this around individuals or security sensitive information in relation to the building and using appropriate language.
• Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required by the Facilities and H&S Officer and/or HR.

SECURITY OFFICER: COOPERATE - SECURITAS SECURITY LTD

• Greeting and instructing visitors
• Maintain a polite, courteous, and friendly manner towards the public, the client, and colleagues.
• Make rounds of inspection at fixed intervals and reports in by means of radio or other devices.
• Prevent the admittance to the premises of unauthorised persons.
• Report damage to perimeter fencing or other property or buildings which compromise security.
• Remain alert and vigilant to activity on the site to ensure risks are minimised through prompt action and reporting to the Supervisor/Manager.
• Report suspicious persons or vehicles immediately to the Supervisor/Manager and Police when the situation is perceived an emergency.
• Investigate fire alarm indicators in the buildings and respond as per site procedure.
• Ensuring everyone signs in and out of premises.
• Ensuring all visitors have appointments and check with human resources
• Patrolling and dealing with emergencies; writing incident reports.
• Manage conflicts and resolutions, when necessary, occasionally escorting people off the premises.
• Checking security details and responding to fire and alarms as required.
• Securing materials on site making sure they are not removed illegally.
• Log all activities into logbook and make necessary reports.
• Complying with health and safety regulations in site and building areas.
