I have a great deal of interest in the extreme sports field: I am an avid surfer, snow boarder and distance runner, which takes up a lot of my free and holiday time. I am also into a variety of music, and have played guitar and bass for the last twenty five years with a number of local bands. Recently I completed a creative writing and proof-reading course, and have written a set of books, both of which have been published.
I have also started to take partake in organised 10k distance running events.
Having worked within the manufacturing, design and engineering industry for over 20 years, I have developed a wide range of skills that would meet and exceed any design-based role that is offered. I am a lively and enthusiastic individual, and look forward to any new challenges that are presented. I have used numerous manufacturing and CAD programs, including Autocad, Solidworks, Bystronic nesting packages and the Adobe Suite, and have been instrumental in creating and running a print design service for a former employer.
I have an extensive knowledge of using a variety of manufacturing materials, including concrete, aluminium, stainless steel and GRP, and have worked on a variety of projects in both a factory and office environment, and for blue-chip clients, architects and local councils.
