Working on the Chinook Mk5 and 6 aircraft carrying out all engineering work in accordance with meticulous specifications, statutory requirements, laws and regulations. Keeping in mind safety, operability and time constraints in often hostile and extreme working conditions. Carrying out debriefs with pilots and aircrew, discussing aircraft faults and possibilities of the cause often giving further training to aircrew of complex systems. • Experience with wiring husbandry, Expedient repair trained, inspection of cables and wiring looms, precision termination tooling, soldering, loom building and new wiring installations including Fibre Optic, to the highest military standards.
• Repairing or replacing malfunctioning components using mechanical and electrical hand skills often working alongside other trades and civilian contractors.
• Testing and troubleshooting various aircraft systems and instruments using circuit testers, oscilloscopes and voltmeters to determine performance and air worthiness.
