I am currently a support worker for adults with mental health and learning difficulties with plenty of experience dealing with challenging behaviours. Whilst starting my current role as a support worker I have obtained my care certificate and have completed online e learning and various training courses such as first aid. Furthermore, I have supported residents who struggle with their mobility who are also elderly out in the community and in their own home.
Outside of work I sometimes care for my younger brother who is autistic as he may need guidance and support as he can present as vulnerable to others. Has gained work experience involving customer service (5 years in retail industry). I have dealt with customer queries to the best of my ability and I always ensure that I'm efficient and professional whenever I am dealing with such issues.
I have also had experience in many different departments since working in the retail industry, for example one department I've worked in was home shop (online shopping) where I made sure that the orders and deliveries were done in good timing and not overdue, by working in different areas in store it has enhanced my multi-tasking skills greatly. I'm a very driven individual with a good work ethic. I always give it my all and can work well as a team or independently if needed.
Because of my long history with customer related situations I have built up a good amount of confidence which has led to me gaining great communication skills. I'm open to learning new things and I'm always up for a challenge.

Plasmet is an engineering company which produces cladding for buildings amongst other similar products for its clients. Since I have started working for Plasmet I have done many different tasks such as linishing (using a buffering pad to remove scratches/imperfections) using an LVD Punch machine, using a press break machine to bend material to specific angles and more.

I decided to get a transfer to a different store as I wanted more hours and a higher contract than the contract I was already on. Since I started working in Chadderton I have been in the counters department (rotisserie), this role has involved me making sure that the food served to the customers is fresh, has been placed in the correct date order and has been cooked to the right temperature.

Initially, I started in the meat section where I made sure all the food products were date checked and in date order and also made sure that the shelves looked presentable to the customers. I also worked stock from the meat backup (fridge). Whilst I was at Eastland's I also worked in the chilled department and home shopping department all of which had their own roles and responsibilities that needed to be achieved.
