James Jarman

I’m a part-time private pilot who loves staying active. You’ll find me at the gym, on the field playing sports, or out hiking and exploring new trails.

I have managed daily operations at Lydd Aero Club, including handling bookings, maintaining aircraft, and overseeing administrative tasks while working towards my Private Pilot’s License (PPL) and building contacts in the industry. I also gained retail experience at Eggs to Apples Farm Shop, where I was responsible for sales, restocking, and customer service. At BAE Systems, I participated in an Engineering Taster Week, working on a comprehensive project and learning about the aerospace industry.

I also completed work experience at State of Flux Limited, where I managed various office tasks and attended client meetings. During my time at school, I served as a Sports Ambassador, helping to lead and organize sports activities and events.

I completed my education at Uplands Community College, where I earned 9 GCSEs, including Math, English Language, and English Literature. I also studied A-Level Product Design and Geography, along with a Level 3 BTEC in Law. While in school, I was actively involved as an Uplands Ambassador, guiding prospective students and their families, and served as a Sports Ambassador.
