I am dedicated, enthusiastic and dependable. Using my own initiative, I can manage multiple tasks, individually and as a group. I willingly accept responsibility. I am regarded as an invaluable team member with a sensible and eager approach to the task at hand.
My strong ability to self-manage allows me to work accurately and fall in line with tight deadlines. My own frame of knowledge allows me to also assist others to achieve the appropriate conclusion. I am in search of a position I can utilise to gain valuable experience whilst simultaneously continue my studies.
I have extensive experience within an office environment shared between my earlier years of work experience but also my most recent work experience working as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant at JH.A. Working at JH.A as a Part 1 architectural assistant has allowed me to fully utilise my degree teachings as well as develop new skills across all RIBA stages. This role has provided ample opportunities to converse with clients, operate on site and inherit leadership skills through project & client management.
Equal to this, the teachings I have gained from this role have enacted as a platform for me to pursue further education & to further my career. As a masters student JH.A enabled me to continue my practice work alongside my studies, not only teaching me greater lessons of time management but equally allowing for me to understand my own limitations of workload and expectation which I look to carry into any role I look for.
Equal to this I have varied experience within other professionals, with a particular highlight being my time as a Seasonal Sales Assistant at The Card Factory. Working as a seasonal sales assistant at the busiest time of the year allowed me to operate in an extremely fast paced environment across multiple areas of the store both with and without customers, helping in bolstering my team & communication skills across the board.
I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Architecture, building upon the foundational knowledge and skills I acquired during my BSc undergraduate degree in the same field. This recent phase of my education has been instrumental in honing my abilities, particularly in communication and time management. The rigorous academic environment has challenged me to articulate complex architectural concepts clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal forms.
Additionally, the demanding nature of the coursework has significantly enhanced my time management skills, as I have had to balance multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities simultaneously, often under considerable pressure. This experience has not only deepened my technical expertise but also equipped me with the practical skills necessary to thrive in any professional setting.
