James McKie

I am a hard working individual with loads of experience in retail, labouring and working in factories. I have managerial experience in retail. I have excellent time management skills and am a trustworthy individual. I can be given a task and be left to complete by myself without supervision.

My first job was at Homebase in Kilmarnock, I was hired to help close the store down as staff had already left. It was a good learning curve in the world of retail as I learned how to use the tills and work stock.

I then worked in B&Q in Kilmarnock. Again another good step in retail as this was a different environment as I worked all over the store. One day I would be in the home decor department and the next I would be working in the woodwork side. I also learned how to place instore customer orders.

My Time at Aldi was incredible. I started as a store assistant and managed to gain promotion to a manager. This was a great learning opportunity as I completed my first aid certificate and also gained my personal license for selling alcohol.

I then worked in the Range in Kilmarnock As an assistant manager. Again this was different to Aldi as I had to be in charge of all different departments Within the store. I believe I gained a good knowledge of working in different departments and picking up hints and tricks along the way.

I currently work in W W Wales Butchers as a production Labourer. This is a different type of work I have done in the past but I have already gained good knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety for working in a factory.

I have standard grade intermediate 2 qualifications in English, Maths, history, woodwork and P.E i have a higher qualification in P.E and woodwork
