- Studied at the University of Nottingham achieving an upper second-class honour in BA Politics and International Relations.
- Extensive knowledge of geopolitics through modules such as Global Security and Crises and Controversies in European Politics.
- Undertook a dissertation assessing the factors affecting violence between Protestants and Catholics in the city of Glasgow achieving a final grade of 2:1.
