James Turoa

I am 18. Physically fit and able, I have experience in both cleaning and farm work. I take pride in the work I achieve and have reliable transport to and from work. I am also looking to gain some new skills experience and while also upskilling myself more to help my journey working in any industry.

I have a learners license but I am striving to get my license sometime soon. During my time at Opunake Highschool I had performed consistently well academically. I performed soundly in speaking, reading and writing as well as having good analytical and problem solving skills.

I have a wide range of interests and skills. I am a very diligent person and always strive to do my best. I welcome being in both a team and working autonomously. During my last year at Opunake Highschool I was given the role amongst many other of prefect, I approached this role with enthusiasm and determination and volunteered my time and organizational skills willingly, and presented high levels of support and commitment to all activities given especially during the centenary celebrations Opunake Highschool had during 2025.

Relief Cleaner at Opunake Highschool (2022-07 – 2024-02)

I was a relief cleaner for Opunake Highschool to cover for the other workers if they were sick and or on leave. I was responsible for and handled the cleanliness and low maintenance of Opunake Highschool's Science, Tech blocks after school.

Part time cleaner at Opunake Highschool (2024-02 – 2025-11)

I was promoted to a part time cleaner at the start of 2024 and still handled the previous jobs I did but this time everyday instead of being a reliever.

Handling of Stock, Assisting with treating of Lame stock, Handling of Chemical Spray, Handling of Quadbike, Washing down yard at Work Experience on farm (2026-02 – 2026-05)
