Having spent the last year working as a waiter to fianance my travelling I am now looking to embark on a career in financial services. As a 2023 graduate from Durham University In Human Geography, I found that I got the most enjoyment out of my modules in Money and finance, Climate change and my GIS mapping course. All of these modules involved anlysing data and using that to determine how it would impact stakeholders.

Throughout University I was a part of the Waterpolo team, Chess society and Poker society as well as my local church. Water polo povided the opportunity to enhance my communication skills with people from a multitude of backgrounds and cultures in order to achieve a common goal of staying in the top division at University. Chess has given me the ability to think strategically, analysing information however unpredictable and deciding what the best way to respond is based off that new information.

Throughout poker society I helped keep excel spreadsheets tracking players performances and contributed to the treasury side of the society.

I always aim to perform highly in everything I do. My most significant achievements to date are:

Waiter – The Rancliffe Arms March 2024- present

Responsibilities

• Customer care: Taking food and drink orders and work behind the till.

Achievements:

• Improved money handling, communication skills and adaptability when trying to optimise customers experiences.

Warehouse Associate - Worktop Fabrications Ltd. July - September 2022

Responsibilities

• To build crates then load on kitchen tabletop surfaces for distribution.

Achievements:

• Physically and mentally taxing work, I was the only temporary worker to be offered a permanent full-time role.

Fulfilment Associate - Amazon April - July 2021 & April - August 2022

Responsibilities

• A stower, packer and cart runner on night shifts in a distribution centre.

Achievements:

• Outperformed required rates of stowing items and after doing all available overtime shifts, I was given additional, unmonitored opportunities in the warehouse.

Additionally I have worked as both a lifeguard and Childrens worker from 2017-2019
