About

I am currently undertaking a Supported Internship Programme with the Mencap Training Academy, completing work experience placements across a range of departments at GXO Screwfix in Stafford. Throughout these placements, I have worked hard to improve my skills and confidence within a warehouse environment. I have developed new skills, gained experience working with others as part of a team, and learned how different areas of the warehouse operate.

I am a motivated, professional, and collaborative individual who works effectively as part of a team. I am seeking a new challenge where I can further develop my skills and continue my personal and professional growth.

Experience

Supported Internship - Mencap Training Academy - Stafford

(2025-09)

During my supported internship, I completed training and gained experience across various departments at GXO Screwfix, where I developed valuable skills as a warehouse operative. My responsibilities included:

Accurately picking and verifying store orders following the RDT instructions and automated MiniLoad system, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected.
Operating MiniLoad picking stations safely, following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Receiving and decanting incoming stock, removing products from supplier packaging and preparing them for storage.
Performing quality and safety checks, reporting any damaged, missing, incorrect stock, or equipment faults to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work area while supporting efficient warehouse operations.
Meeting productivity, accuracy, and attendance KPIs, and assisting with other warehouse duties as required during busy periods.
Entering dispatch data from overspill cages into the warehouse management system accurately and efficiently.
Using multiple spreadsheets to record, update, and verify transport and stock information.
Maintaining accurate records while working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Work Placement - British Heart Foundation - Stafford College

(2024-09 - 2024-11)

During college, I completed a work placement with the British Heart Foundation, supporting the furniture department and gaining valuable warehouse experience. My responsibilities included:

Transporting furniture safely from the warehouse to the sales floor, ensuring stock was available for customers.
Assembling furniture to a high standard, preparing products for display and sale.
Loading furniture onto delivery vehicles, ensuring items were handled securely and efficiently for transportation.
