I am a third year BSc Economics and Finance student at the University of Southampton with a strong academic background and an analytical way of thinking. I’m committed to developing a wide range of skills, shown by my experience with DHL Global Forwarding and my entrepreneurial endeavors of co-founding two businesses where I applied knowledge from virtual experiences provided by JP Morgan and CBRE, as well as my university degree. I have pursued my interest in AI by developing coding skills and joining the AI society at university as well as continuing my endeavors in mixed-martial arts, which I believe have shaped my personal values of discipline, hard-work and respect.
During my professional journey, I gained valuable experience in various roles. In my position as an Employee Engagement Associate at DHL Global Forwarding in Chertsey, England from June 2023 to August 2023, I played a pivotal role in organizing and executing the Employee Engagement roadshow, encompassing presentations to over 1,000 employees throughout the UK. My responsibilities included coordinating logistics for delivering presentations to 18 different sites, crafting engaging slide decks, and delivering presentations to groups of up to 50 employees per session.
This role enhanced my logistical, presentation, and communication skills, resulting in an impressive overall engagement level of 91/100 across various engagement metrics, surpassing the previous year's score.
Additionally, my entrepreneurial endeavors in Southampton, England since January 2023 have seen me co-founding two impactful ventures. The first is Spark-AI, an AI Automation Agency dedicated to helping SMEs incorporate artificial intelligence into their operations. In this capacity, I self-taught coding and AI automation, while also spearheading our marketing efforts and business prospecting.
The second venture, Progreening, focuses on sustainability, utilizing software and data to develop NET-0 carbon strategies for companies. These entrepreneurial pursuits have honed my skills in business development, technology, and sustainability, showcasing my commitment to innovation and positive impact.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Economics with Finance at the University of Southampton in Southampton, England, with an anticipated graduation date in July 2024. I have maintained a strong academic performance and am on track to achieve a predicted First-class degree. My research focus lies in the field of Optimal Portfolios, as demonstrated by my dissertation topic.
Throughout my university journey, I have undertaken a series of relevant modules, including International Macroeconomics, Econometrics with Big Data, Financial Analysis with Information and Markets, Empirical Finance, Intermediate Microeconomics, and Industrial Economics, all of which have contributed to my well-rounded education. Prior to university, I completed my A-levels at Charters School Sixth Form in Sunningdale, England, in July 2021, earning exceptional grades in Mathematics (A), Economics (A), and Physical Education (A*).
