About

I'm Jamie, a London-based music professional. I have over 20 years of experience in the music industry, from retail through production to digital product and label management. Starting off behind the counter of a series of respected independent record shops, I worked as a main buyer for the award-winning Sister Ray records in London before going on to manage some iconic UK electronic music labels (Circus Records, DJ Zinc's Bingo Bass among others).

Along the way I also released my own music with an array of acclaimed electronic music labels (Numbers., Unknown To The Unknown, BPitch Control, Boysnoize Records and more) and wrote for Everett True's Plan B music magazine.

Experience

Head Label Manager - Circus Records Ltd

(2020-01)

Overseeing all operations of a leading UK independent electronic music label and two sister labels (Circus Electric, DPMO), leading an international team of 6 and delivering 150+ releases per year.
Coordinating with distributors, streaming platforms and rights organisations to ensure accuracy and compliance across the full release catalogue.
Building and maintaining KPI and financial reporting across catalogue performance, marketing spend and revenue. Running paid campaigns via Google Ads and Meta.
Single-handedly migrated our entire catalogue from four distributors to one, collating disparate and incomplete metadata into a coherent package.
Identifying gaps in the label's platform and leading the full website rebuild as developer, including CMS implementation for non-technical editors.

All day-to-day operations for two legendary UK bass music labels – Digital management, A&R, release coordination, marketing, reporting and rights admin.
