Hi! I’m Jamie Wilkinson. I’m 16 years old and local to the Craigavon/Portadown area. I’m seeking part time employment in wherever possible. I am currently waiting on my GCSE results and am planning to move onto further education in September. I am a friendly sociable young person and would love to work anywhere in a public setting!
As of August 2024, I have not yet been able to experience anything in the workforce. Now that I am of age and have the time to do so, I am certain I will be able to learn any skills I lack with regards to working wherever my workplace may be. I am a very competent young person and I am told that I learn quickly.
In May and June 2024, I completed my 10 GCSE examinations at Portadown College. I took the subjects, Maths, English language, English literature, Re, Single award science, Spanish, French, Geography, History and Learning for Life and Work. I am awaiting results for these in August.
During my GCSEs I picked up many skills such as ICT skills using Word, Excel and Outlook. I also have good knowledge of food safety, the environment, childcare and health through the subjects of single award science and learning for life and work. I also have excellent leadership, organisational skills and teamwork skills through various coursework tasks and assignments.
I possess good english and mathematic skills. While this may not apply to my education at Portadown College, I am self taught in the language of German and can speak fluently. I feel like this indicates that I can work to my own initiative.
