I'm required to identify and print off the certificates that need linking to specific jobs i.e.
Authority (CAA) – as this is where a certificate needs to be signed to instruct the delivery driver that the consignment holds an SPX certificate, indicating that the goods are safe and not dangerous. My role requires me to locate and access the relevant emails that are assigned to despatch and I am responsible for printing off those emails and assigning them to others colleagues so they can process the jobs for that day. There are different types of requirements associated with jobs – for example: International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) jobs as these are important because ITAR products are business critical and require a due diligence approach.
To protect sensitive technologies from falling into the wrong hands. I am required to print off the ITAR manifest and assign this to the relevant job. I use the LN aviation software system for the booking in of goods so that specific stickers can be printed off and placed onto the relevant boxes so these boxes can then be despatched to the Goods Received (GR) team.

I have worked at William Hill since 2008 reaching the position of Deputy Manager. During this time I have learned a diverse skill set. My role required excellent customer service skills as I was dealing with people who displayed a range of emotions and would require support to deal with those emotions.
I have developed excellent skills in listening, negotiating and deflection in order to support customers with their range of emotions. I have sign-posted customers for further support to deal with their addictions. I have been responsible for supervising staff which has included health and safety training plus using the various IT systems that have been deployed in the service.
My role has required me to maintain motivation of staff morale whilst ensuring targets are met, alongside managing absenteeism and timekeeping – ensuring the sufficient cover during holidays. The role required good mental maths as I was responsible for settling bets and handling/banking of monies. Working as part of a team was an important aspect of this role and I consider myself to be a team player who enjoyed the dynamics of working as part of a team.

I worked as a customer services employee and this included working on the checkout and supporting and advising customers who came into the shop. I worked with the manager to review the marketing displays in the shop in order to promote offers. Stock takes were undertaken to ensure the records were accurate.

I worked as a machinist and as part of a team. As a machinist, I was responsible for setting the machine up, alongside loading and unloading the machine. The aim of the role was to produce a target at a specific quality with minimal waste. I would be involved in review meetings where the aim was to drive improvements and this made me feel like I was contributing to the wider team.
