I am trustworthy, adaptable and hardworking. I love working with children, particularly art and crafts lessons. I try to hold lessons outdoors where possible as this allows for increased confidence, social skills and adaptability.
I have helped in the creation of books aimed at young children called ‘Eden Bear Visits….'. These are linked to Eden Project North and the primary aged children in the area who will study the Morecambe Bay curriculum and want to know more about their local area around the bay.
As part of my degree and PGCE I have been on placement in local primary schools. I have worked with children of all abilities, additional needs and from all social backgrounds. Having an HND in Design from University of Ulster means that I have created art for most of my life, and now I can pass on that joy to the younger generation so they can all feel a sense of achievement while learning and creating their own finished piece of art.
I gained a First in my Teaching and Learning Degree from University of Cumbria. I was the Institute of Education's Highest Academic Achievement award winner. I am now studying for a PGCE in primary education with a specialism in Experiential and Environmental Learning which allows for lesson creation outdoors where possible.
