This role involves me as a single point of contact for employers working with them to resolve issues and support the apprentice through their apprenticeship framework and standards at level 2 and level 3.
Since 2019 my role has developed further to also manage apprentices who are on ST0154 MOET – Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Standard (Electromechanical Technician pathway).
I have also managed apprentices at level 2 and level 3 within fabrication and welding, engineering maintenance and machining.
During my employment prior to 2010, I have been mainly assessing with some teaching duties which have changed on a yearly basis to cope with apprenticeship demands. This has now become fully dedicated to mechanical engineering apprentices and adult students.
My teaching role has involved me delivering courses to 14-16 year olds and post 16 age group. The courses I have taught are as follows;
Materials, Quality, Health & Safety )– Full Time and Part Time students.

After three years the role later became a trainer, instructor / technician, which was dedicated to the product design department. This role involved the support for GCSE and A-Level students who require workshop machines – metalworking and woodworking to produce their projects. My role here became demonstrating, instructing and training of such equipment.
