About

I do believe that the valuable transferable skills I have acquired from my 4 months working within the retail environment sector would lend themselves well to the Sales Advisor role at H&M. It has provided me with an adequate head start giving me the necessary experience and expertise to work within this retail role, which included working in a fast-paced working environment. As well as this, I enjoy working as part of a team or independently and promise to bring an optimistic attitude into the shop atmosphere.

Have worked with and am knowledgeable on clothing - alongside working with a heavily varied stock - to check, label, size and price.

Visual

Merchandising experience – I have curated themed window displays and in-store displays in shop as per business request. As well as gaining an understanding of the shop floor layout via getting used to a shop floor environment and how they merchandise stock to maximise customer enticement. Content creation or social media experience - Although I am not conversant with much personal social media experience, I have gained the expertise - shown via other people in the retail and fashion sector on how they promote their store through social media and PR.

I am currently looking for part-time work, as I am due to start college in September 2026 to study HNC Fashion Business - Available to work any time Wednesday – Sunday, and Monday/Tuesday afternoons, holidays, and overtime if needed.

Experience

Voluntary Worker at Barnardo's (2025-02 – 2025-06)

Have worked as a volunteer at Barnardo's clothing charity shop. Doing this has helped me to gain experience of work in the retail sector. Having worked in the back of store pricing, labelling and organising donations, allowing them to be sold at the front of the shop. On top of this, I have gained experience in customer service - working at the till, cash handling and interacting with customers, as well as merchandising the window display and in-store themed displays.
