I initially joined CMutual as a Claims Handler supporting life savings and loan protection claims within the credit union sector. In this role, I am responsible for accurately processing claims from initial notification through to payment using internal claims systems and decision tools. This includes setting up new claims, validating information, conducting quality checks on colleagues' work, and raising payment requests while ensuring timely communication with credit unions.
Our team works to achieve day-one claim payments, requiring strong attention to detail and efficient processing. I also manage payment waiver claims, reviewing eligibility and calculating and issuing monthly payments in line with policy terms. Following my strong performance, I progressed to the role of Client Service Executive, where I support the Head of Claims and Partnership Director with a range of operational and client service responsibilities.

My role at AXA required me to manage claims from beginning to end for our customers, such as first notification of loss, liability and repairs, to provide an outstanding service whilst providing regular updates to ensure that all parties are well informed. My current team is existing claims and aspects of my role include dealing with queries and liaising numerous individuals on a daily basis. Such as the policyholder, brokers, repairers, salvage agents, vehicle recovery, third parties, third-party insurers and third-party solicitors.
Part of my role consist of differentiating between expressions of dissatisfaction and complaints to allow me to log them appropriately which avoids any delay in resolution. I have experience in taking new claims, dealing with liability decisions and I am often relied upon to help out on our schemes team which has strengthened my ability to adapt to new environments and change in work dynamics.
