I currently work in a childrens care home for young people in the care system. A day consists of waking the children up and helping/making them breakfast, taking the children to school and picking them up. Cleaning the home and completely paperwork.
Making dinner and taking children to clubs after school. Helping children to complete any school work and building trust and relationships with each child I care for. On the weekends we go out on activities and I try to provide them with the best home life possible.
I take so much care in helping with their development and helping them get the best out of their life's as I understand it is hard to be raised in care. I take so much pride in my work, I am punctual and organised in all I do. A crucial part of my job role is to safeguard children and to risk assess situations, each young persons I work with have very different experiences and have been exposed to trauma and neglect which to why we use a therapeutic approach and also why it is so important to safeguard them correctly.

I am an AD HOC nanny for a private household and have been for many years. They have three young children, two with high additional needs. The ages range from 10 months to 7 years old. I help this family as and when needed, this consists for helping the two older children with homework, after school clubs, weekend activities and confidence building.
I also help with cooking, cleaning and bed time routine. Since they have recently welcomed a new baby I have helped with baby sitting, help with weaning and supporting the partners in anyway I can for example picking the two older children up from school. The middle child has lots of medical needs so I also help with hospital appointments and offer the partners support both physical and emotionally.
This child suffers with allergies so I'm first aid trained and am always aware of foods and making sure everything I feed the children is suitable for all of them.
