Jenna Southgate

I’m a 34 year old female, majority of my experience is in first line emergency health care and have been an equestrian for 31 years this includes owning, competing and producing young Irish horses. I have mainly worked for the NHS as a senior member of staff , the private health sector and also yard/ridden work for a reputable equestrian dealer, I now Work for a carbon composite company in sales/production and co-ordination and also in manufacturing , My Key skills are training staff, communication, kindness, fairness and the ability to adapt and think with and without guidance and instruction. I’m always keen to learn new skills and don’t find this intimidating but also happily understand and undergo the need for daily routine workloads expected in my job role.

I have worked In the private and public sector and have been agricultural majority of my life, I have been on the same equestrian livery for 20 years, I have great leadership, communication and manual skills to adapt to both manual and non manual work.

I have had to work with many computer systems within my previous work experience and my current role, I have undergone training and been assigned a training and assessing role. many of my working skills have been manual such as cannulation, venepuncture, blood pressures, ECG’s, wound care.

I currently manufacture carbon fibre car parts for formula 1 teams, this requires skills to ensure the work is visually and physically pleasing to be able to be surpassed on in production. I have also gained a production co-ordination role ensuring flow and manufacturing runs smoothly and effectively within the company.

My equestrian experience is lifelong and i spend a lot of time and money on my own development, I have worked for a reputable Irish dealer in the Uk, to which they Have aided and assisted me to be able to buy produce and sell my own Irish horses successfully as a hobby, with their guidance and knowledge this has fulfilled my equestrian needs and achieved my own personal goals, allowing me to low level event on level headed well bred horses.
