- Attended Boys Brigade for the past 7 years and have participated in two 7-day camp expeditions over the summer.
- Took part in activities with other boys related to band practice, life-skill tasks, mental and physical games and sport.

Volunteer helper at the annual winter night shelter for the homeless people at St Mary's Church of England (2019-01 – 2020-03)
Volunteer helper for 6 weeks over the winter, pre-pandemic 19/20
- I assisted with the set-up of portable beds; this was a 6-week programme where Ealing churches took turns to run the night shelter one evening each week. I managed to do this every Sunday evening, over a six-week period, for the 3 consecutive years.
- Read the manual to assemble the 30 beds safely.
- Key skills: commitment, empathy, following instructions.

Year 9 (20/21)
- Teachers put me forward for the 10-week leadership programme. I was one of 20 students selected for this pan-London programme.
- I successfully completed the programme and weekly tasks, and received a certificate for my participation and attendance.
Elected Year 9 Boy Sports Representative at Twyford CofE High School
- Engaged and consulted with my peers for suggestions for improvements to sport for boys and fed-back the outcome.
- Organised and led the class inter-form sport activities, which involved arranging the event, communication with form groups and setting up the event as well as clearing away.
- Advocated and promoted sport/games for boys and encouraged participation.
- Attended meetings, spoke with teachers regarding improvements to the sports on offer. I put forward a compelling case for football to be allowed to be played every day of the week during break times and not just on certain days, which was agreed and implemented.

History Scholar at Twyford CofE School
Won a place as a History Scholar in Year 9
- I successfully won a place as a History Scholar in Year 9 at school, there were over 70 applicants for 20 places, which involved being part of the team to compete in public speaking and debating with others schools.
- I have good memory, eye for detail and particularly enjoy history and learning about past events. This helps me to think about what might take place in the future and what a solution might be to an issue based on past historical events.
- Key skills: strategy, thinking fast on my feet, organisation.

- My role in the team was usually to start, end or support the team with the debate, depending on what was required.
- Completed research into the question/argument.
- Generated at least 3 best points for a question/argument put forward.
- Create rebuttals to points that the opposing team might put forward to strengthen our position, this would usually happen before the event, but sometimes – we would need to come together and quickly change our approach at the event – if needed.
