• Built a 12-month content strategy around four audience pillars, the first structured framework of its kind for the organisation, which became the foundation for all social, email and print communications in the future.
• Audited messaging across every channel and wrote a tone-of-voice guide that the wider team adopted across all external communications, bringing consistency to supporter-, staff- and stakeholder-facing content.
• Wrote and edited supporter newsletters, fundraising appeals, and staff communications using Mailchimp, tailoring the tone and language for audiences such as major donors and frontline care workers. Planned and published content on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn via Hootsuite, creating platform-specific copy and analysing performance in GA4 to guide future planning.
• Developed digital and print materials with Canva, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Express, including social graphics, internal updates, and recruitment resources.

Trainee Journalist - MerseySportLive - Liverpool John Moores University

• Published several stories across match reports, breaking news, long-form athlete interviews and data investigations, covering the full range of sports journalism formats in a single role.
• Covered all three broadcast disciplines: writing scripts, presenting on camera and producing radio packages. Each demands different copy, timing, and instincts, and working across all three quickly was one of the sharpest learning curves of the MA.
• Covered the British Gymnastics Championships live, including the UK's first ParaGymnastics trial. Recognised it as an underreported accessibility story and developed it from scratch through original interviews with athletes and officials.
• Interviewed athletes, coaches and governing body figures across in-person, phone and broadcast settings, learning to read what each interviewee and story needed from the conversation.
• Pitched ideas, took editorial feedback and met deadlines consistently, learning that being reliable under pressure matters as much as the writing itself.
