I am 40 years old and a mother of 5 children; 3 of my children are currently of school age and my 2 eldest children are in employment and college. I have worked in health and social care for 19+ years, I have remained with the same employer Maison Care Ltd for the full 19+ years gaining the knowledge, skills and experience to support individuals with learning, physical, sensory and emotional difficulties. My role started as a support worker, I then gained the knowledge and skills to become a senior support worker.

I have an effective work life balance which has enabled me to stay in employment while also raising my children.
