Jessica Rollins

I currently work in a private day nursery based in the pre school. I have a group of key children. I currently monitor their progress using the new EYFS framework, with the use of IEP's and smart targets enabling the child to achieve, ensuring that all abilities are catered for.

All children progress at their own pace, but as a key worker ensuring that they are working at their full potential. I have had vast experience working with children of all ages. I am also familiar with working with a range of outside agencies and have attended many meetings to support children with SEND.

I am competent with completing relevant paperwork and have helped many parents access services and extra funding for their child. Including DLA and funding for a SEND pushchair. I also have Makaton training and can use this to aid and support children with speech difficulties to communicate their needs.

I have used a range of techniques including visual timetables, now and next boards to aid a child. In order to help with any difficulties that they may coping with. I really enjoy working with children helping and nurturing them.

Teaching and learning them to develop new skills ready to start school. I am a quick and keen learner, and am always up for new and exciting challenges. I am a hard working passionate mum of two young rambunctious boys and a cheeky two year old.
