I am currently a Postgraduate MSc (masters) student at Cardiff Metropolitan University studying in Sports Coaching. Whilst I was born in the United Kingdom, I am half Tongan (Polynesian). I am a keen rugby player currently signed for the Reading Rams and I would very much like to use my experiences of both a sporting and academic nature to remain in the realm of elite sports in either a coaching or training/playing capacity.

Over the years I believe I have had the full spectrum of experiences both positive & negative that equip me with the personal and professional skills to add real value to any coaching, learning or competitive environment & believe I am able to credibly assist others in their journey whatever their destination may be. I now with 2-3 years of coaching experience am aspiring to further my coaching into an opportunity I can really thrive upon and gain further knowledge.

I am currently signed with the Rams RFC in National League 1, where I will be continuing my thorough understanding of high-performance training, preparation, analysis, and team culture while receiving experience in an elite rugby environment.

Rugby Player at Cardiff Metropolitan University Archers RFC (2022-09 – 2025-07)

1st Year: Started in Phase 2 Preseason then got moved into the BUCS 4-5 squad. Played throughout the season and managed to play for BUCS 3 and had opportunities to train with the Welsh Championship/performance squad. 2nd Year: Was put into 'UWIC' Preseason where I obtained a concussion at the 2nd fixture of the Preseason period. This saw me off to miss the rest of the Preseason period.

Got put back in the BUCS 4-5 Where consistently stayed for the whole year. 3rd Year: I moved position from Backrow to Prop and was moved into Phase 2 for the Preseason period. I then got put into BUCS 2 which is where I played for half a season. I then made it into the Performance Program/squad where I played in the WELSH PREMIERSHIP team which is where I predominantly played for the other half of the season. 4th Year: Was selected and did the "Phase 1" Preseason which is the highest performing Preseason squad in the club.

I was then selected for the Performance Squad which was scaled to a smaller group of 46 players (two 23 player squads) who will compete in BUCS SUPER RUGBY or WELSH PREMIERSHIP (Semi-Professional). I have competed in both BUCS SUPER RUGBY AND WELSH PREMIERSHIP.

• South Africa Tour 2024: Towards the end of the season, I went and had the opportunity to go on a Rugby Tour with Cardiff Met RFC where we went away for 22 days on the 22nd of May. We played 3 teams and got to experience the culture within the country which was amazing.

Elite Athlete / Rugby Player at Bath RFC & ACE (2016 – 2022)

• Developing Player Program (DPP) – 2016 to 2018: Engaged players aged 13 – 16 years old in a development programme which interacts with and complements school, club and county playing programmes, to provide further development opportunities for young players without the conflict of competition. This programme is nationally managed by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and delivered locally through a partnership between the RFU, the Regional Academies and Constituent Bodies (in case, the RFU, Bath Academy and Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset).
• Player Development Group (PDG) – 2018 to 2021: Offers weekly coaching, conditioning and specialist support from Bath Academy Staff. Bath Academy PDG sessions start at U15 (typically from the January of that age grade) and the PDG programme continues through to the U18 age grade. This is the entry point to the Bath Academy for all players and offers a route for those who are appropriately committed and able to progress towards the professional game.
• England Academy Player (EAP) – 2021 to 2022: Designation given to the players currently demonstrating the greatest potential in the Regional Academy. As an RFU Regional Academy, Bath Academy has to register a group of EAPs with England Rugby every year. Bath Academy was accountable to provide a greater level of support to, and have a greater amount of contact time with EAPs than the Performance Development Group [PDG] players of the same age.
• Academy, Colleges and Education programme Player (ACE): Bath Rugby and Beechen Cliff School working in partnership to develop promising young rugby players in the Bath Rugby catchment area. The partnership provides a much-needed state school pathway to high level rugby.
