I am an experienced scientist with 20 years in research and clinical laboratories. Throughout my career I have managed laboratory operations including equipment management, budgets, continuous improvement, stock management, process development and optimisation, validation and waste management. I have overseeing GCP laboratories and ISO 13485 laboratories and have been responsible for the implementation of health and safety frameworks.
Thoughtout them later part of career I have focused on quality aspecks of laboratories supporting laboratories directly and indirectly as a GCP quality functional partner.
I am currently working at a medical device consultancy company as the Head of LabOps and Health and Safety developing and implementing frameworks to support safe working conditions and efficient operations. Previously I worked as a GCP quality partner supporting scientific departments with compliance to company and regulatory requirements. Before that I worked on and off for GSK as a Laboratory Operstions Manager where I set up the GCP lab framework managed the lab and also completed clinical same analysis.
My other previous roles were for the National Blood Service working I a medical laboratory and for the University of Cambridge completing mutation screening on Breast and Ovarian Cancer samples.
Recently I have completed Radiation Protectin Supervisor and Biosafety Practitioner training. I have also completed my NEBOSH general certificate and have been members of RQA and IOSH.
I have completed a PGCert in Molecular Biology in Medicine and a BSC Honour s degree biological Sciences and Animal Behaviour
