I hold a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, and strive to provide the best care and education to young children, to help them thrive in a holistic environment.

I have 20 years combined experience of working in nurseries and bring up my own young family, which has given me a wealth of knowledge and understanding.

Whilst working in private day nurseries my duties included:

Working as a team and on my own initiative to carry out the daily routine of the nursery and to provide the best possible care and education while maintaining a safe, secure and stimulating environment for the children to develop in.

I was a keyworker to several children; I ensured their routines were carried out and their individual needs were always met. Providing activities and developing the child’s knowledge and understanding from their individual interests, enabling them to achieve their best in a holistic environment.

Completing development books, assessments and planning on a weekly basis, following the early years foundation stage curriculum, ensuring the activities focus on the child’s interests, age and stage of development and that they not only supported but also challenged the child’s learning. Communicating with the parents/guardians daily, sharing information with them about the child’s day and development.

I feel I have gained a wealth of experience from my time as a nursery teacher in private and international nurseries. I have also gained first-hand knowledge and experience, as I have been lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mummy to my three boys when they were younger.having had this experience, it has given me another perspective into the holistic development of a child from a mother’s point of view, and I feel this has given me great foundations to develop my knowledge further.
