My name is Joseph Sanderson and I am currently a student at the University of Brighton. I am a hardworking and reliable individual with plenty of experience working in hospitality and bar roles. I enjoy working as part of a team, meeting new people and providing excellent customer service where I can.
I am confident in busy environments, enjoy taking on new challenges and always aim to give my best in everything I do. I am currently looking for a part-time role where I can use my experience, develop my skills further and become a valuable member of the team.
Bartender at The Liquor Store (2024-09 – Present)
I have current experience at the Liquor Store Speakeasy, a bar on Colmore Row in Birmingham City Centre connected to a clothing shop specialising in 1920s themed cocktails. Being in such a busy environment, I have managed to develop my people skills by making sure customers needs are met, and helping with any questions or problems they may have. I have also further developed my bartending skills, as this role involves both hosting for customers and making drinks the best I can.
Bar Staff at West Warwickshire Sports Club (2022-06 – Present)
I currently work part-time at West Warwickshire Sports and Social Club as a food and bar team member. I have worked there since June 2022, my role predominantly includes interacting with customers, making sure their needs are met, and being a proactive and reliable, member of the team. I have also gained many useful hospitality/retail skills, such as operating a till, helping customers with any predicaments/ enquiries they may have, and many more.
I am flexible as regards hours and days and am happy to take on different roles. I am really interested in this role as i believe my knowledge regarding the products sold will help me to quickly fit in and continue to provide this level of service.
Bar Staff at Sodexo Live! (2025-10 – 2026-04)
On matchdays at Brighton and Hove Football Club, I worked regularly within a kiosk on the concourse, taking on all sorts of roles. This includes food and drink handling, working with a till and dealing with customers face to face, making the drinks and food for customers, and constantly dealing with a frequent rush with no problems.
