I am a highly motivated and progress focused professional with a long track record of care and supporting people at difficult periods of their lives. I have worked with many children, young people and families whom I helped to achieve their goals and improve their life skills, self esteem and quality of life. I have the experience and skills to motivate and encourage people, manage conflict and crisis within the boundaries and policies of confidentiality of the position and my own safety and well-being.
I have a considerable amount of experience building networks of professional and multi agency support services, and working with these to tailor care and support plans for specifically for individual cases and families
I have worked in custodial prison settings for17 years with many complex needs clients. Assisting them with their drug/alcohol addiction and building holistic, multi-agency support plans and networks to improve their lives and those of those closest to them. I have also supported teaching staff and young people in various Alternative Provision Colleges around West Sussex with the Youth Justice Service, West Sussex County Council.
I gave support and advice to the teaching staff, gave substance and alcohol information to the young students, and helped them with their emotional and mental health. I also held a caseload of young people known to the legal system court system. I supported them through bail packages and community orders and helped them manage conflict, emotions and reactions.
I have written and presented numerous psycho-educational workshops and Webinars on many subjects ranging from drug and alcohol addictions, motivation to change, depression and anxiety, compassion and empathy and brain chemistry and addiction.
