Working for Copart as a Class 1 transporter driver my duties included the collection and delivery of accident damaged vehicles to both residential properties and businesses. In undertaking my duties it was my responsibility to safely load and unload vehicles of all sizes, with varying degrees of damage. The transporters used are 3 axle rigid vehicles which we would routinely take into tight and restrictive residential areas, as well as commercial properties.

Detainee Custody Officer - Mitie Care & Custody - Crawley, West Sussex

My role as a detainee custody officer was to escort those deemed by the UK government to have no legal right to remain in the UK back to either their country of origin or as part of the asylum process, the first safe country they came to. These duties included collecting the detainee from their holding facility, whether that be prison or a detention facility and escort them to the designated airport, whereby they would be boarded onto an aircraft, ensuring both theirs and the public safety and escorting them on the flight and handing them over to the local authorities.

My duties include the handling and agreement of liability with third party insurers and representatives, the handling and mitigation of all hire charges incurred by the third parties.

• Continued role as a mentor to new members to the team, along with being a referral point for both Credit Hire and our Downtime Management Team
• Held face-to-face meetings, and line-by-line telephone meetings with several Credit Hire Companies for the purpose of reducing the incurred debt
• Facilitated handler work allocation; via personally managing a team of 5 handlers within the overall team, with a view to effectively manage KPI's whilst maintaining the best practice
• Reviewed the monthly aged debt with the purpose of effectively driving down the incurred cost per claim, whilst driving to reduce the average cost per policy
• Reviewed the Credit Hire Aged Debt files with a view to ensuring an accurate reserve in line with the best practice, whilst endeavouring to ensure a reduction in the settled v billed
• Produced Basic Hire Rate Witness Statement for use by Plexus Law on litigious files, whilst handling litigious aspects of Credit Hire claims
