A conscientious and professional electrical installation tutor with extensive experience in teaching level 1, 2, and 3 city and guilds, I have experience in delivering assessor and internal verification qualification through city and guilds registered companies, I also have my level 4 teaching qualification and through my experience of teaching in school and training providers have developed my teaching practice. I have proven experience in managing teams of assessors, ensuring that standards are met and adhered to. I can work well in a team and on my own. currently seeking a new position as an Electrical Tutor/quality assurance role.

Electrical installation IQA / electrical tutor - Leamington College part of WCG - Leamington

My current role at Leamington College is the Lead IQA in electrical installation. My role as IQA, I would monitor the quality of delivery, assessment and keep my manager informed, of any problems on subjects to teach, electrical city and guilds framework. I organise standardisation on the training we deliver and help the team with any problem areas.
The teaching ranges from classroom theory and VCT online training to practical workshop-based teaching, it would be my responsibility to record and monitor the learners progress through peer to peer and teacher assessment. We would also arrange for exams to be arranged to confirm understanding.

I passed my electrical training in 2010 and have been running my own company mainly completing domestic work in line with the current wiring regs. I complete rewires and consumer unit changes. I have EAL installation certs and up to date 18th wiring regs, I also am a member of NAPIT under the domestic scheme.
I completed testing and inspection following all latest regulations. I have city and guilds in fundamental inspection and testing and working towards my 2391. Before i became an electrician i was a teacher teaching design tec, i would very much like to go back into the training side, offering my wide range of skills.

While I was finishing my electrical training I work as a temporary electrician working on various electrical contracts. My role included 1st and second fix to the building, adding sockets and lights to existing lighting and testing and inspection.
Teacher design technology - Harthill school - Harthill

Teaching design and technology in a secondary school, delivering design technology to key stage 3 and 4. This was through classroom and practical activities in a workshop environment. I would plan and deliver my own lessons based on the key stage the learners would be doing. I would regularly mark and give feedback on the students work.

This was teaching design technology in a young offender's prison, I would plan and deliver lesson in line with key stage the learners are working on, I would need to adapt my lesson depending on the learners as they were at different levels of key stages. This would be teacher lead activities and the learners completing practical and written tasks set to their abilities, I would mark and file reports to the head of education informing them of the progress of each student's progress.

Delivering NVG level 2 and 3 in hospitality and catering, team leading and customer care, this would involve me planning and assessing learners in their workplace, the assessment would be through observation, statements and questioning there understanding, I would need to ensure that learners would fill out their logbooks and show how to log their own statements to prove their competence in their work role. I would internally verify other assessor's learner file and assess the assessor's performance.
