As an experienced individual with high profile technical skills, I have designed a temperature monitoring device to monitor the minimum and maximum level of temperature in a pharmacy cold room. I was also able to provide data for the operators remotely on the performance and efficiency of the device. My technical skills were gained by working with one of the largest and highly sophisticated health-care institutions in Nigeria.
Currently, I am seeking an entry-level Data scientist assistant role in a company or business that requires skilled, highly motivated individuals and offers a platform to work as part of a team and take on high levels of responsibilities such as the analysis and interpretation of commercial data. I believe I will be a good asset to any organization.
In terms of key skills, I am experienced in Solar energy and able to design, manufacture, and install. I am also fluent in English and French, and have excellent technical skills.
My employment history includes being a Biomedical Engineer at the National Hospital Abuja, where I designed, installed, repaired, and maintained hospital medical equipment such as ultrasound machines, linear accelerators, autoclaves, electronic operating beds, and X-ray machines. I also changed a faulty thermocouple in a Dental furnace and replaced faulty microswitches found in the Linear Accelerator in the Radiotherapy department. I strengthened my knowledge in the dynamics of electronics and biomedical equipment’s by conducting presentations on various equipment’s present in the hospital with the aim of exploring their individual principle of operation.
Additionally, I worked as a Solar Engineer at Afrisun, where I designed, manufactured, and installed inverters and solar panels. I also designed, installed, repaired, and maintained medical equipment, and acquired knowledge in the dynamics of solar panels, inverters, and batteries for energy resource. I installed solar panels and inverters in client residencies, and personally manufactured a 12V sine wave inverter with locally fabricated casing and material.
I also worked as a Biomedical Engineer at Jos University Teaching Hospital, a government-owned health-care facility that rendered service to patients with all manner of illnesses. I designed, troubleshooted, installed, and maintained hospital medical equipment. I trouble-shot haemodialysis machines and resolved start-up problems during the normalizing of the machines in the haemodialysis department.
I examined suction machines and detected constraints that caused malfunction during suction, and discovered how to prime haemodialysis machines and also take readings on patient vital signs.
Regarding education and training, I am currently pursuing an MSc in Data Science at Manchester Metropolitan University. I have a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from All Nation University Ghana, and have also completed a 3-month work experience program in business strategy analysis and case writing at Ivey Business School, Western University, London, ON, Canada.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, playing soccer and tennis, and dancing.
