I am a hardworking and reliable person with hands-on experience in bricklaying, labouring and site support within construction environments. Skilled in carrying out physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently and maintaining high standards of workmanship. I enjoy a challenge, work paying attention to detail and enjoy building work relationships and gaining new skills.

Bricklayer at Self-employed (2016-01 – 2024-12)

For several years I worked as a self-employed bricklayer including running my own gang between 2021-2024. For this role I worked in a team leader position on site in charge of a gang of 3. This involved communicating with colleagues about their work, invoicing and managing timesheets as well as bricklaying duties (blockwork, mixing mortar, pointing and finishing etc.).

During this role I further developed my communication skills and also problem-solving and adapting to different construction sites and environments. I also developed my time management skills and ability to work to strict site deadlines. During this time I also did my CSCS operative training.
