Jolene Lycett

I am an enthusiastic and motivated hairdressing student with practical salon experience gained through my Level 1 Hairdressing course and college salon placement. During my level 1 hairdressing course, I served as a course representative, which further strengthened my communication, leadership and problem-solving skills as I regularly supported my classmates and acted as a link between students and staff, qualities that translate directly into a professional salon environment. I am passionate about developing a career in the hairdressing industry and enjoy making people feel confident in themselves.

I have experience working in a busy salon environment where I: supported stylists when needed, operated the reception and made clients feel at ease. This experience has helped me understand how a salon should operate. As part of my Duke Of Edinburgh Award, I participated in a volunteering placement at Fun Start Child Care, which allowed me to develop good communication skills with children.

I believe I am a committed and dedicated young person, who will thrive when given the opportunity to work in a salon setting.
