As a junior engineer, I have accrued just under a year's worth of commercial experience, along with my 12 weeks of intensive learning boot camp, my key skillset being Python with a bit of React on the side. I believe I can also bring my wider skillset from my previous work in the NHS being a quick and flexible learner, knowing when to escalate and communicate.
I am seeking junior software development roles so that I can further expand my skills and provide value to an organisation. Joining a team will be the catalyst for elevating my software aptitude. I understand software development is hard work and I'm excited to put in the extra mile.

Software projects -
Slack integrated Blog AI - This was a Python project which aimed to create a slack integrated Blog AI. It was aimed at staff members to use as a jumping on point to start blogging. The project was run under agile scrum where stand-ups were held and we used a ticketing system in Jira to ensure that everyone in the team had a cohesive plan on the tickets they were assigned.
Responsibilities and understanding - Understanding and implementing Slack API and its modal system, Integration of GPT technology, Validating and isolating the output of the request, Using AWS CloudWatch to assist in the troubleshooting of bugs, Standardising Data communication formats, Following agile rapid iteration approach
API aggregation using Python - This was a project requested by the client to access several information sources from multiple different platforms such as Google Workplace, SentinelOne, Jira and a few others.
Responsibilities and understanding - Leading stand-ups Ensuring Jira tickets were assigned to relevant individuals and up to date Isolating data needed from the platforms Attaching the data retrieved into a single dashboard
Public Sector Project - This was one of the largest public sector clients who requested python developers for software maintenance and debugging of their sensitive government system.
Responsibilities and understanding - Using Python and DBeaver as SQL software app to access code and data, Set up a Red Hat System Administration virtual environment to work on, Data engineering via AWS Redshift, Monolith Migration to microservice architecture, Following test driven development methodology.
General Assembly, Software Engineering Immersive Student - Dec 2021 - Mar 2022
A full-stack course covering frontend, backend, Web and database design. This 12- week intensive course entailed:
Training: lectures, homework, labs, workshops;
Collaboration using agile methodology: daily stand-ups (scrums), pair programming.
