I have been in Loss prevention for over 10 years for a leading retailer, this includes being a Loss Prevention Manager. Have also been a retail manager for several years. A strong leader with a passion to be successful.
10+ years in various Loss Prevention positions. Got several promotions. From patrolling the shop floor in a high foot fall department store to covering CCTV and and apprehending shoplifters. Delivering targets of less than 2% stock loss each year.
Focusing on known high stock loss areas. Taking actions such as tagging increases. Spot checking high value areas. Ensuring that all colleagues are vigilant in and around those areas. Having a “one team” mentality.
Investigating cash loss through transaction and CCTV searches: looking for internal theft as well as the standard external theft. Organising and handling lost property. On duty for alarm call outs outside of trading hours.
Liaising with various different bodies to understand local trends. Sharing intel whilst maintaining GDPR regulations at all times. Completing regular checks of the premises, ensuring all equipment is working as it should.
Reporting suspicious individuals to relevant parties even when there is no current threat, maintaining good relationships so that we get the same back from them.
