My experience mainly lies in engineering and mechanical fitting, working in new and existing builds 33kv up 400kv. I have extensive experience in GIS and AIS working in different parts of the Country on major builds.

Working as a mechanical fitter for ABB I have worked on three main GIS project builds: June 2016 Spittle 275kv build then, Torness Power Station and Kilmarnock South 275KV. I also assisted the GIS senior technical advisor gassing up the GIS. I have also had other roles working for Grosvenor power dismantling transformers and loading them to be built on other sites.

Working with the site maintenance team, my role is to undertake the day-to-day inspections, repairs and maintenance of the site equipment and assist with site delivery control. I was involved in working with a wide range of HV equipment including AIS and GIS switchgear from 11-400KV both new and vintage refurbishments.

Working with A&P I originally started as an engineer's mate but then I was offered an opportunity as an apprentice air conditioning engineer. I was part of a team that was employed to overhaul repair/replace and inspect air conditioning equipment units.
FLT Operator at LGV Driver Training Ltd (2002 – 2005)
Duties included loading and unloading vehicles, keeping site tidy also helping the mechanical fitters when needed.
