I am writing to express my interest in the Senior Network and Security Engineer position. With over eight years of experience in enterprise network security and infrastructure, I bring deep, hands-on expertise across multi-vendor firewall platforms, combined with a strong core networking background.
In my current role as a Senior Network and Security Engineer at LRQA Nettitude, and previously within MSP/MSSP environments, I work daily across all four major enterprise firewall vendors, such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, and Cisco Firepower. I design, implement, upgrade, and support high-availability firewall solutions, manage centralized platforms such as Panorama and FortiManager, and lead complex VPN, SD-WAN, and security policy deployments. Operating in MSP/MSSP environments has strengthened my ability to manage multiple enterprise customers simultaneously, act as a Tier 3 escalation point, and deliver secure solutions under strict SLAs and change governance frameworks.
My technical foundation is rooted in core networking. I have extensive experience with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching platforms, working with technologies including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, and L3VPN. This networking depth allows me to design firewall architectures that are not only secure but fully aligned with resilient, scalable network design principles.
In addition, I work daily with Cisco Meraki environments, supporting cloud-managed security and switching infrastructures across distributed enterprise sites.
Throughout my career, I have led end-to-end project delivery — from requirements gathering and architectural design through implementation, risk assessment, and post-deployment optimisation. I regularly collaborate with architects, NOC teams, and senior stakeholders to modernise infrastructure while maintaining operational stability. I also mentor engineers and contribute to building collective technical capability within the team.
