As a Project Manager in an Army Outreach Programme, I was responsible for project scope, stakeholder engagement, risk management and strategic reporting. Through effective leadership, I increased recruitment numbers and implemented a new engagement programme that received positive feedback. My ability to deliver results was recognised with a CEO commendation.
I have also demonstrated experience as a Programme Manager for the Unit Vetting Programme of my Battalion, I streamlined end-to-end processes, improving efficiency all while delivering over 400 security clearances under tight deadlines. These roles have honed my leadership skills in portfolio, programme and project management.
I currently hold PRINCE2, Agile PM, Scrum Master qualifications and training in Lean Six Sigma and APM PMQ (awaiting exam results), demonstrating my expertise in structured project methodologies. My MBA and Chartered Manager status (CMgr MCMI) further solidify my strategic management capabilities, equipping me to implement and oversee Portfolio Management effectively.
Risk assessment and mitigation have been integral to my career in the Armed Forces. As an Assistant Intelligence Officer, I led intelligence briefings, removing redundant processes to enhance efficiency of the reporting process. Additionally, my role as a Vetting Officer required managing risks associated with high security clearances within policy and budget requirements. My experience ensures I can embed robust risk management frameworks within transformation initiatives.
