My day to day duties include coming into work, signing in and then sort out my walk for the day. Once all the letters and packages have been scanned and correctly checked over then begins the load up of the van. Aswell as loading up the van before leaving I have to do a vehicle check to make sure the van is in working condition and to report any damage on the vehicle to the on duty manager.
Once all the checks are complete then I head out to commence my job duty. When all the letters and packages have been delivered, it is then time to head back to the depot and scan any packages or letters that wasn't successfully delivered and place them back into the right area. Making sure everything is returned (scanning device, van keys and any other accessible keys) and signing out the van to let the managers know when it was returned.

My role within the company is to deliver a high standard of customer service to customers at their door. Making sure the products they have purchased are in no way damaged, contaminated or at risk to them. My work day consists of checking over the vehicle before leaving the site with a checklist both outside and inside the van and that the temperature of the fridge is at the right temperature; as well as checking I have the right totes (storage boxes) within the van.
Any products they wish to return or substitutes they do not want I simply remove them from their order on a device and fill out a returns slip for customer service to give back the customers money. After all the delivery's are complete I then return back to the depot to do a final check over on the vehicle (top up on fuel, wiper fluid etc..). Overall the main focus of the job is to give the customer a excellent delivery experience.
Interacting with the customer in a well mannered state, offer to place their shopping in a space which is easy for them and to give a good impression of both myself and the company to them.
