I am an analytical, collaborative and personable actuarial graduate, with a passion for building relationships and problem solving. I graduated from the University of Essex with upper second-class honours (BSc Actuarial Sciences) in 2023, followed by gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in 2025, consequently beginning my employment as a Mathematics teacher in September of that year. My early career decisions were influenced by the Covid 19 pandemic, which occurred throughout my studies.

I am looking for a career change to fully utilise my skillset within an industry that offers opportunities more closely aligned with my degree.

Trainee & Early Careers Teacher – Mathematics at St Clere's School/Mossbourne Portside (2024 – Present)

St Clere's School in Stanford-Le-Hope, Essex is a British comprehensive school, for ages 11-16 and is rated 'good' by Ofsted. I was offered a position at St Clere's after successfully completing a second placement within the school during my initial training year. My initial teacher training was facilitated by Thurrock Initial Teacher Training, based in South Essex.

My PGCE was simultaneously completed as a component of the training year, delivered and facilitated by the University of East London.

• Facilitated the design and implementation of an 'EAL' (English as Additional Language) initiative, using iPads to assist in the translation of materials in real time, to improve the outcomes of a group of a students.
• Contributed to the creation of the departments 'SOW' (Sequence of Work), specifically overhauling the units relating to Pythagoras and Ratio/Proportion.
• Established and embedded rigorous data driven assessment of pupils' attainment and attendance, helping to secure appropriate support and funding to promote improved outcomes.

Construction Insurance Claims Handler (Voluntary) at Leonard and Sons (2023 – 2024)

Responsible for managing and processing insurance claims related to construction projects, including property damage, liability, and contractor risk. Liased with insurers, clients, and site teams to assess incidents, compile evidence, and ensure accurate claim documentation.

• Supported underwriting processes by inputting and reviewing risk data in Acturis
• Prepared and maintained renewal and claims documentation with accuracy and compliance
• Reviewed risk and policy data in Acturis, ensuring consistency across client and broker records
• Processed claim related invoices and maintained accurate financial records.
