Working within the Peruvian section of the Amazon rainforest as an intern for Kawsay Biological Center. I was situated within the Amazon for 7 weeks, helping the company observe spider monkey populations and analysing samples of blood, urine, and faeces; monitoring the local fauna and flora to ensure their preservation; and looking at several other factors which helped the concession this company owned. The company said they are happy to provide a letter or email of recommendation if needed and have also commended my approach to their work from the perspective of both biological output and conservation.

This volunteering job was alongside my course at bishop burton college and university. I helped the animal technicians with several different things this was done alongside lessons and outside of college time. I helped with creating and supplying medications for the animals, improving environments for the animals to ensure they are not natural and fit the 5 welfare needs, and other things like check sheets for stock and make stock counts for the suppliers.
