PROPMAKER AND CREATIVE
Send a job offer directly to this candidate
I am a hands-on creative with experience in prop-making, exhibition work, immersive theatre and sculpture-based making. I enjoy working with a range of materials and processes, including casting, painting and sculpting. Over the years I have also worked with plaster, silicone, resin, textiles, wood, metal and paint through both professional projects and my own creative practice.
Through both professional roles and independent creative practice, I have developed an understanding workshop etiquette, material preparation, tool maintenance, and collaborative studio working. Recently, I completed a 10-week Introduction to Prop-Making course with Naoko Tagai, where I developed skills in mouldmaking using alginate and silicone, plaster and resin casting, sculptural carving and realistic painting techniques. The course gave me more confidence working with materials in a practical setting and strengthened my interest in fabrication and sculpture.
I've also worked with Punchdrunk Enrichment on immersive theatre projects, helping with prop making, set painting, dressing spaces and organising materials and equipment. A lot of the work involved being adaptable, working closely with others and getting stuck into whatever needed doing on the day. Through previous roles at Wellcome Collection and London Transport Museum, I've also gained experience with installation work, handling objects carefully, workshop set-up and working as part of a creative team.
I'm reliable and open to the possibility of a long-term role. I am excited by the opportunity to work in a studio environment again, while expanding my skillset. I am a problem-solver who aims to be flexible and a supportive presence in the studio space.
